Hello all,

This is to all the community. I started DicingDangers a couple of years ago and ran it as best I could. Since then, I kind of kept getting side tracked by life.

I hate the way I can not be a full time GM or even a part time GM. I just keep having to work to earn money to pay for the family. Dont get me wrong, I love them and I have to prioritise them. The reason why I come back to DicingDangers is because I love it. I love the people mostly. They are what make the game, but then I get drawn away because I have to pay for life.

The problems are purely financial. I have to work from morning often till late at night to keep up with the bills. I am not looking for any sympathy, but I owe it to you to explain what is wrong with me (lots but the other stuff is not pretty). In fact I dont earn too badly, but for some reason it just is not enough when you have a wife, kids, house and everything that goes with it.

What I am saying is, I will probably get back to DicingDangers at some point but it might be a while, and even then I do not know how much time I can spend on it.

I am sorry to those who expected more. I am very very grateful to those who just took part, played the game and created a great community.

I think I owe a couple of people some $ for failed credit purchases. I will have to get back to this. Sorry about that.

The Legends server is larger and friendlier, but has no PvP. Heros server is a bit rougher but it is not worth it as most players are so high level on that server that you will always get thrashed. I have not played it in a long time, but it was good fun.

Is the server going to remain up for the foreseeable future? I guess it must be costing you.

Thanks for bringing us up to speed.If the game stays up I will most likly stick around

and have a bit of fun with it knowing this for the foreseeable future is the game i know

how to play with what it has to offer. If the server is a cost that gets to high a burden before

you determine shut off Give a few of us a shout out.

Hey Fen.

I've known the kinds of pressures you've been under, and I've never been upset or annoyed that you've been away from the game. I've always been one of your most ardent supporters, and will continue to be so, until you decide to call it a day (and I really hope that wont be the case). I will repeat though, if you need help, you know you can always call on me, and others. We're here if you'd take advantage of us. :-)

Thanks so much for sharing this, Fen. I imagine this was really hard to do, so thank you for taking the time to inform us all of where things stand.

Might I make a request? If B3 isn't going to get updated anytime soon, would a switch back to B2 be feasible at this point? I'm not sure if that would get incredibly messy or if it would be just a simple switch to upload some old code. My thoughts are: yes there were Many problems with B2, but if B3 isn't going to be seeing progress anytime soon, an interactive game with things like boss hunting and PvP might hold a community together better :).

Let me be the voice of reason here.

Fen, your not really telling anyone anything that the major old school players don't already know. In all honestly you should of let this be known ages ago instead of letting it drag out so long causing resentment.

Also alot of players wonder even to this day if you are finding it hard updating and being a good GM as you say why not get some help? I know a few players who have good skills to help out. I personally would love to end playing as a character for being a lesser god :).

Yes, I would love Beta 2 back if we are aknowledging that beta 3 isn't going to be updated significantly.

i would second that we could do events there and to heck with the bots and cheat's that

were able there we never really cared about that anyways.. Would give you a stable game until you

could finish beta 3. mayhaps there was a snapshot from there stored where we were and a simple upload would give it a go?

Lol @ Sly! I hate to admit it as Din and I have not really been on good terms recently, but Din's obvious artistic, gaming and programming skills would probably make him an awesome side kick for Fen. I'd vote Din for Vice GM so long as he was willing to keep the underwear references to a minimum. :-P

I understand your situation Fen, although of course I am sorry to hear it. If only you had said something sooner (although it was kinda obvious anyway). At least then some of us wouldn't have tried to stay positive (or less negative) in waiting for a possibility to have a TDP reset.

Beta 2 with everyone starting at 0, sounds nice to me too :)

This is a huge shame but you have to put family first. Not quite sure just how difficult it might be to allow others to help. To set up such a thing might involve a lot more time and trust than you can afford. The game needs more players, PvP and Events badly. I'm not sure this game will be viable for you the way it stands as players just seem to be mostly using free ap and not buying tokens.

I'll also stay loyal to this game and community. I couldn't think of starting a new game elsewhere. If it's possible I'd like this game to stay running & not switch back. This is a far superior version to the other efforts imo. It was far too easy to use bots in the old game and I'm a big fan of earning your status in this game.

I think the only way to keep this game just running and paying for itself in beta 3 would be to find a way to introduce PvP and give us back visible bosses at the bottom of the screen and an ST clock. A system of trade would also be awesome and a way to pay for TDP resets. If you could do these things then I think the game would be good to just leave to run itself for as long as you need it to. Otherwise I'd say just start Beta 2 again because it's more of a finished product to just leave running.

Whatever you decide, I hope you can just pop in for a quick chat now and again. It's always really good to see you and know that you are still around. I hope the job starts to get easier and that you have more time for yourself, it sounds too stressful right now and it must be really tough on you. Thanks again for the update and hope to see you on here soon.
